What was the neighborhood you grew up in like?

My neighborhood was a very typical 50’s neighborhood. Our area had loads of children of all ages. During the summer months we would all play in the streets in front of our houses, or during the summer we would ride our bike to the local store Loveland market. One summer we all packed a lunch and walked up to Sunrise Mt it took us all day . We would play outside playing a game called three flys up one of us would hit a fly ball to the rest of us, the one that caught the ball three times would become the batter. We would also pretend in war games divided into Americans and Germans ( remember only ten years since WWII ) all our parents were in the war my mom and dad both Marines meet during the war and got married. In our wars the Americans always won, so we had to take turns in being Germans. After a summer of this replayed combat we decided that we would just be soldiers in war! (And the best team wins) to make sure of the accuracies of our shots at the enemy we decided the only way to know we hit someone was to use b-b guns. When you were hit in the stomach with a b b or a pelt you felt it (you were shot and declared dead). Most of us only lived in our homes for about 6yrs. We all moved in when they were brand new during the time we lived there most of the of our parents got divorced and we all moved on.
