What was your first boss like?

The first boss I had was when I was 15. I went to work at an A&W across the street from the Huntridge Theatre on Charleston Blvd. He was a terrible guy he lied to me from the very first day. Each day I came to work (part time) and he would promised me a full time position. He had me do every bad assignment at the store and they were bad , scrubbing floors, cleaning out A&W bottles, and cutting onions for burgers. He never assigned me regular hours but just told me to call him in the morning to see if he needed me that day. He paid me in cash but took out the taxes which he never paid to the IRS. When I got my job at the end of summer at the Mint Hotel he called me and was upset I never called him to let him know I wasn’t coming back! Later in the year I took DeEtte to the drive up and had a burger the onions were cut wrong got a lot of satisfaction out of that since he always told me to do a better job and cut them smaller. The only good thing about this jerk was I learned to use a French knife. My next boss was super great worked at the Mint for the next 7 yrs. my senior year of high school I was paid more then my teachers kind of sad ðŸ˜” . The Mint was very good to me over the 7 years I started out as a busboy and moved up thru the kitchen positions until I was promoted to the position of Gourmet Chef. I was the youngest Chef in the Culinary Union at 17 yrs old.
